FOOTBALL
Football is a team sport that is played on the grass
ground with 2 teams, each of which is
composed of 11 players. This definition is the one that comes to most people’s mind in the
world genereally.However, the definition of football
,in its general meaning, alludes to
something different. As Wikipedia suggests that ”
football refers to a number of sports which
range from American football, Australian rules
football to Canadian football ,Gaelic
football, rugby-style football. Soccer is also used
instead of football. The concept of
modern
football was coined in Great Britain, as a resut of which The English are called
‘founder of
football and also one of the best nations that play it ’. It is almost certain that even prior
to the foundation of modern football in England in 18th
and 19th centuries, there are historical
evidences supporting the idea that football has been
as old as human history.Another aspect
of the term football,that is when someone spells
football in an ordinary place,indeed it covers
all the
world.Every year,in most
countries,there are football tournaments which are held with
the permission of the governments .Some of the most
known football leagues are Champions
League,UEFA Championship League,FIFA World Cup and
so on.Football has become such a
powerful area in terms of the amount of money
invested on it that some football clubs,like
Real Madrid, Barcelona,are richer than some poor
countries.There are even some
footballers that gain highly huge amount of money like, Cristiano
Ronaldo,Gareth Bale or L.
Messi. Football is believed to be the most popular and well-known sport up to now. There
are
football stadiums,football schools that are
structured in the best places of big cities like Camp
Nou in Barcelona,Wembley Stadium in London,Santiago
Bernabeu in Madrid etc. I also love
playing football with my friends or even
alone.Football is a lifestyle for me without which I
would certainly feel
depressed and excluded.Since my childhood,I have always tried to play
it whenever it is suitable,yet some people without
being aware make it be known as a
irritating sport,because some uneducated people can
try to give political messages via
football or make racism against people.These are bad
things that are not accepted by
anyone. Still, I strongly believe that despite bad
people and their works, football has a
responsibility of gathering people from all around
the world to be in contact and respect each
other.It is played by all kinds of people regardless
or their sex, age, nation etc. I think it
should be so, at least.

SCHOOL UNIFORM: NECESSARY OR NOT?
In
Turkish Education System, there have been a lot of changes throughout its
history from 1924 to today, 2014. These
changes can range from laws regulating the concept ”education” in general to
teacher appointment, schooling, school material and so on. Education, according
to universal acceptance, is knowing how to reach what one needs to know. In
Turkey, authorities have always been in research of redefining this description and comprehending it properly. While
doing so, they have also shaped the profile of a student in terms of how to
wear at school. This is legalized by Turkish Grand National Assembly, which
commands that every student should what The Education Ministry wants. As stated
in the Ministry’s Regulations Booklet, under the headline “Regulations about
clothes of students of schools connected to National Education Ministry (p.1,
2012), students can not wear any political emblem, carry any racist,
discriminating object etc. Therefore, school uniform is much more useful when
compared to other options (e.g. free wearing) thanks to its being applicable
and acceptable.
First of all, standardizing a school
uniform contributes to both family’s budget and society’s point of money. In
Turkey, which is regarded as developing country no matter how its institutions
and statesmen say that we are among the most developed 20 countries all around
the world, it is clear that there is a huge income inequality among people. While
one can earn around 15,000 TL per month, some other people are forced to work
under bad conditions and paid just 800 or 900 TL. Here happens to be an
interesting data. In our country, Turkey, hunger limit is determined to be
1,169 TL (according to, March calculations). This inequality can be observed in
many areas and also in education system. To lessen this huge gap to some
extent, a standard school uniform is accepted. Families with lower income than
this hunger limit and those with much more income than hunger limit are obliged
to make their children wear the same in state schools to be able to go to them.
This unity of wearing enables families to profit more both economically and psychologically.
They do not have to buy new clothes ( like different colours or kinds of
jacket, pants or shirts.). There is a common uniform that every student,
regardless of his/her family income or socioeconomic status, has to wear. In
addition, students can manage to diminish the totally wrong acceptance that
rich students become friends with the rich or vice versa. This misconception
can be destroyed, to some extent, by means of this standardized clothing. Much
as there appears to be a difference between children of rich and poor, at least
with this application, we can decrease this distinction more or less. Another
aspect of economic income difference among families is that those students who
don’t have the chance or fate to be children of rich families, after some time,
would begin to question themselves excessively and conclude that why do I have
to wear always those clothes while my friends can wear different, colourful
clothes every day if it weren’t for school uniform. Thinking, after a time,
would affect these students’ success and cause them to feel depressed, annoyed,
alienated or shy. Upon seeing their friends wear various clothes, these
students would be in the opinion that we aren’t as important in the eyes of our
teacher and society as these rich students with colourful dress. As an indirect
result of that, we would probably lose those citizens at a very early age. To
prevent such a likely chaos, school uniform should be necessary. Not every
family will be able to afford such a thing and school uniform is more suitable
for families economically.
Secondly, in order to be sure that education
is done perfectly, there needs to be a proper environment. A proper environment
calls for some features like peace, silence, and of course security. By means
of school uniform, safety of school increases much more, as well. A certain
student of any school wears certain school uniforms and carries a symbol,
emblem of that school ( e.g. a badge on his/her jacket, tie or vest). If it did
not occur so, some people who weren’t students would maybe want to enter the
school garden to damage the students. This would decrease the quality of
education and break down the education atmosphere. Schools’ security is
provided with determining the students’ appearance. When school uniform is
abolished, the safety of school will decrease and so will the quality of
education. Apart from school safety, thanks to school uniforms, safety of
school buses ( okul servisi) is secured, too. School bus is a vehicle that is
responsible for transportation of students and these vehicles are to have only
certain students who are differentiated from their peers by their school
uniform. This generally happens is big cities, like Istanbul, Ankara rather
than small ones or villages. Security, in the general view, is a big job to
achieve in Turkey and without school uniform, it would be more difficult to be
sure that a school is safe enough for every family so send their children to
these places with ease.
Thirdly, school uniform is important for
teaching the students from early years that discipline is an significant term
that needs gaining as very soon as possible. At approximately ages of 6 or 7,
students are urged to wear a standard uniform, which indicates that school
uniform is an indicator of discipline. Teachers are responsible for reining and
regulating students’ clothing. Being disciplinary and knowing how important it
is in one’s life from cradle to grave will fulfil students’ competence. In
addition, in state bureaucracy, discipline and order are the 2 necessarily
attributes without which one could not make his/her voice be heard. As George
Washington, who was the first President of United States (1789-1797), the
Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary
War, and one the Founding Fathers of the United States( from Wikipedia),
defines the purpose of education: “ A primary object should be the education of
our youth in the science of government. In a republic, what species of
knowledge can be equally important. And what duty[is] more pressing than communicating
it to those who are to be the future guardians of the liberties of the
country?”( Quotes about Education, page 3,para.12,www.goodreads.com). We can
conclude and notice from what G. Washington says that disciplinary youth and
new generation is our first desire from education. In the same way, school
uniform is a mainstream meronymy of teaching discipline to the youth throughout
education process.
As for the criticism against school
uniform, some can argue that school uniform narrows students’ horizon and
dictates them how to wear and act. Moreover, there can be those who claim that
school uniform creates frightened, thoughtless, dogmatic, unquestioning people.
However, this can not be said that one person can totally agree with them.
School uniform is just related to a person’s physical appearance. School
uniform, rather than making children insensitive and stagnant, teaches them to
be social more bravely. Students can try to be friends with all their friends
regardless of socioeconomic status, which is enabled by mostly school uniform.
School uniform does not and should not limit students’ point of view. They can
question everything and also school uniform itself without being under any
pressure. Anyway, they are sure to come to the conclusion that there should be
a standard clothing ( that is, school uniform). Another benefit is that school
uniform gives students to be equal and respectful. School uniform lessens at
least this gap partly.
All in all, school uniform is an inevitable
one for education as yet, and it is like speed for cheetah. It should be
applied to increase education’s quality. After all, we can learn about another
definition of education from Iris Murdoch, an Irish-born British author and
philosopher. She says that “education does not make you happy, nor does
freedom. We don’t become happy just because we’re free, if we are. Or because
we’ve been educated, if we have. But because education may be the means by
which we realize we are happy. It opens our eyes, our ears, tells us where
delights are lurking, convinces us that there is only one freedom of any
importance whatsoever, that of the mind and gives us the assurance, the
confidence to walk the path our mind.”. That is to say, should freedom mean
that one is educated, then there can be no one more educated than animals.

QUARTER LIFE CRISIS IS THE NEW AGE CRISIS???
Firstly,We want to begin with defining what "quarter life crisis" is and what connotations it refers to.Quarter Life Crisis is a period of life ranging from the late teens to the early thirties(the ages between 15-30,generally speaking),during which a person begins to feel doubtful about their lives.They are under stress of becoming an adult.People start to question themselves more closely and deeply during this period.
People at the age of 18 or more till 30 are the typical ones that face this syndrome in that this age period,to some extent,is adolescent years,as well.According to one research conducted by the British Psychological Society,There are 5 certain symptoms that you are having a quarter life crisis:
1) A feeling of being trapped by your life choices. Feeling as though you are living your life on autopilot.
2) A rising sense of “I’ve got to get out” and the feeling that you can change your life.
3) Quitting the job or relationship or whatever else is making you feel trapped and embarking on a “time out” period where you try out new experiences to find out who you want to be.
4)Rebuilding your life.

Feeling as though you are living your life on autopilot.
2) A rising sense of “I’ve got to get out” and the feeling that you can change your life.
3) Quitting the job or relationship or whatever else is making you feel trapped and embarking on a “time out” period where you try out new experiences to find out who you want to be.
4)Rebuilding your life.
5) Developing new commitments more attuned to your interests and aspirations.
Although these 5 signs are heplful in terms of depicting the crisis,there may be many other symptoms,too..It depends on the person's gender,familly,education,point of view and so on.While one can daydream about doing something crazy,the other can imagine of just sitting all day without doing anything,and while one can feel increasingly nostalgic for his/her high school and college days,the other can easily forget all things related to high school or the past.On the one hand,These symptoms change from one person to another,on the other hand,there are some symtopms that are common among almost all people,for example;they can feel terrifed from the idea of making budget,they can start to think of dating life differently,they can start to get bored with their friends and they can find it necessary to meet with new friends in the hope of feeling different not because of any reason but boredom.In addition,people desire to compare themselves with their friends,peers or are compared by their parents,particularly in our country and culture.We can come across many examples of this, like one mom says to her daughter that all of your friends have been maried and have had child as big as you,yet you can not do so and sit at home or one father says to his son that he wants to have a grandson or granddaughter or so on.
As for the historical background of this term,quarter life crisis,it was first coined in 1997 by Addy Wilner,co-author of the book,"QUARTER LIFE CRISIS" with Alexandra Robbins.The idea of writing this book and researching about this field came to her after she had graduated from her college,moved back home and could not figure out what to do with her life.
As for the possible solutions or suggestions to those who have quarter life crisis,they should start to believe in themselves.Trust and being friend with oneself are the key words.Knowing how to slow down,that is never feel rushed to make significant life decisions/changes,do not listen to what others think about you.Do what's best for youinot others.be comfortable making firm,independent decisions for yourself and spending time doing the things that you enjoy,whatever it is that you are passionate about,JUST DO IT.

^^1970 BHOLA CYCLONE^^
Before
letting you know about how helpless a humanbeing can be, I want to mention
a little
about what
is called natural disaster and what kind of natural disasters exist. A natural
disaster is
a major adverse event resulting from natural processes
of the Earth. These
diasters can
include floods,volcanic eruptions,earthquakes,tsunamis, and other geologic
processes.(like hurricane,typon,cyclone,fire etc).Just
considering the word I have
used,”helpless”,do
not think that nothing can be done to prevent or decrease the damages
of these
disasters. There is always something to be done for precaution.As for my selection
of natural
diaster,It is 1970 Bhola Cyclone.Let’s start talking about it by giving a
little
information
about how it broke out,how much it continued and what damages it resulted
in.The Bhola
Cyclone occured on November 7,1990 and
lasted for 6 days,ending on 13
November
1970.It killed around 300.00-500.000 people which is the deadliest tropical
cyclone of
all time as well as damaging the nature,land .It was blowing at around 185-215
km/h around
the place which is called Bangladesh today.It damaged the economy of the
area,causing
about86.4 USD $ (according to 1970 economic conditions).Here is a photo
as
regards the
disaster.
WHAT
MEASURES COULD HAVE BEEN MADE TO DIMINISH SUCH A CATASTROPHE?
First of
all,We should take into account the economic and demographic circumstances of
the time.The
country is Pakistan and the year is 1970. At
that time,Pakistan is an undeveloped country
which was facing with poverty,diseases,turmoils.Pakistan
lacked of the necessary
power to
cope with such a destroying event.Some countries,not all of the countries
including
Turkey,tried
to help them to overcome this case.The country
especially statesmen could
have warned
the local people to take measures against
the probable distaster,even if not
such a
destroying one. The Health Instıtutes and First Aıd Organisations could have
given
seminars and
distributed necessary brochures as to Tropical Disasters.The Authorities could
have been
and were supposed to be ready and alert to such an event.Had such measures
been taken
beforehand at that time,Such kind of a devastating event would not have broken
out.To sum
up,We should be prepared against such events and take the necessary
protections
against the natural disasters however inpredictable and
inevitable they seem to
be.

BEST EDUCATION:AT HOME OR ABROAD?
Can you imagine
the differences between a student studying in the USA, the UK or the EU and a
student from undeveloped or developing countries? You can easily think of it
and say the differences easily. In developed countries, needless to say, There
are qualified schools and universities ranked among the best ones all over the
world and countless job opportunities, so it can be claimed that most students
from undeveloped or developing countries want to study abroad(like in the USA,
the UK, or the EU) for 2 main reasons.
Firstly,
Students studying abroad can encounter new cultures. They can learn the history
of the country they go. They can learn many things as regards the society’s
role in the history, how they could survive throughout the wars, in what ways
they affected the other nations and got impressed. These students can figure
out the society’s religion and local beliefs from the past to today/hitherto.
Learning about the country’s cultural, historical, economic backgrounds, the
students will soon find themselves in a progressed position. As well as getting
knowledge from books, texts, holy manuscripts, They can visit museums and
theaters with the intention of obtaining much about the society. The students
can take photos and take part in informative seminars, as well. As an
inevitable consequence of these tours, the students can learn many informations
about the public’s daily life or lifestyle. They, with their friends, can taste
traditional foods, sip drinks of the culture. They could even learn about
recipes of these meals. They are able to hear the special secrets regarding
these cuisines at first hand. Moreover, after knowing as to the society’s
feasts, festivals and carnavals, the students can even participate in or take a
role in these rituals, the students can get familiar with songs and marches of
the rituals. Through all this process, it may become more funny for the students to go out and wander.
Secondly, The
students have the chance to experience a new social environment. The students
can face new climates, point of views. They can come across a very different
atmosphere in which they might meet and be friends with students from various
countries and invite them to their own country or vice versa. They can share
their own cultures with one another and create a mixed one. They are able to
tell the foreigner about their history, geography, or lifestyle can learn from
them, as well. With these foreign friends, They can travel around the countries
or maybe around the world, as a result of which they may even discover unknown,
unfamiliar places together. Thanks to the power that being youth gives to them,
without being tired or giving up or stopping, They can walk, run or even swim.
Making a group composed of four, five members or more which depends on the
activity they choose to do, They can join in international or regional
tournaments, competitions or races. By doing so, they can learn how to be
responsible or be aware of the responsibilities or how to behave appropriately
amongst group. They can learn about co-working and task-sharing. Furthermore,
They will have the awareness of behaving according to in which environment they
are. They will learn to control control and adjust themselves to new occasions
accordingly. To return to the first point or in consequence , a person with an

To begin with your first question.,The professor,as you have already mentioned, is waiting for a very complicated answer from his students. Rather than wanting the students to answer is simply and clearly, He is determined to urge them to memorize the written explanations,definitions without asking any question. The second question of yours is really making me feel different:) The same education in India or the place where this film is telling is the same with my own country,ALAS. In my opinion as well, There can be very long,academic definitions of THE MACHINE. However We are to make it shorter for everyone to understand. MACHINE is anything that can be used for any certain purpose: this is my definition of machine. Raju,in his thoughts,really summarizes and criticizes the bad and ,traditional acceptance/conditions of his country. Fulctrum is help in my opinion., pulley is a circle,pivot is distance,nib is a climax:)) As for the last 2 questions, This video is impressive and interesting.You can not find ay better than that :)) It deserves a full point like all of our friendss' blog works:) and THE ADJECTIVE BLINDLY leaves no place to explain more. IT shortens every word that is,without questioning,accepting something is blindly action

Death Note (デスノート Desu Nōto?) is a Japanese manga series created by writer Tsugumi Ohba and manga artist Takeshi Obata. This notebook grants its user the ability to kill anyone whose name and face they know. I have watched this video after one of my friends recommends it to me. I got really fascinated from the scene and senario of this anime and could not help watching it at that time.I propose this anime to everyone. While doing this video task activity, I get really enjoyed. Because I want to talk about this scene and share my opinions as to this film with my friends.It is a really good work, in terms of not only this anime,but also this video task work:)) But to tell the truth,I would just as sooon watch that anime than do this work not because this activity is needless but because the anime enlarges our horizons much more and takes us out of the real world:)

I would rather select these 20 sample sentences from my video to give a general knowledge about RELATIVE CLAUSE according to the informations I have had.
Firstly, I want to start by defining what Relative Clause refers to,where can we use it or what advantages it will provide us.
A Relative Clause,in its general meaning,means that It is used to give further informations,describe anything in detail,make it different from others or to make the sentence more eye-catching or readable.
There are 2 kinds of RELATIVE CLAUSE one of which is DEFINING R.C. and the latter one of which is NON-DEFINING R.C.
DEFINING RELATIVE CLAUSE: It is used to make a noun special when compared to a different noun.We can go over the sentences selected from my video to make out it better.
We can many examples for this kind of R.C. for example in the second sentence, to make it more specific or clear,the subject of the sentence,that is people, is being described or aided by "who share the same name".In other words,the judge can be understood more appropriate by means of this grammatical structure.(and You can see the same logic in these sentences:3,4,7,17,etc)
In order to make it more simple, I want to show you a picture.
The picture beneath this sentence can be a metaphor for Relative Clause,especially Defining Relative Clause.

As for Non-Defining Relative Clause:It is used to give much more information about nouns.Nonetheless There is a sharp difference between Defining and Non-Defining. Non-Defining is generally used to give extra information about a noun without which this noun could also survive and give a clear vision to its reader,Rather in Defining, If one wants to figure out about that sentence which needs more explanation,There should be used this grammar structure.
